The heart behind the brand

About Carty Care

Carty Care was born from a deep belief that every part of a person matters — and that true flourishing comes when we tend to the whole of who we are.

The story behind Carty Care

Carty Care grew out of Nicole's own life — years of working closely with children and families, sitting with people in hard moments, and slowly realising that wellbeing isn't something you arrive at. It's something you practice. What she kept coming back to was this: our emotional, mental, physical, relational and spiritual lives aren't separate things. They're all the same life.

The creative work came first — journalling, making, reflecting. Then the philosophy took shape around it. And eventually, a brand. Today, Carty Care offers resources, education and creative tools shaped by one consistent thread: compassion, calm, curiosity, creativity and connection.

The Carty Care Way™ isn't a program to complete or a checklist to follow. It's an open door. Come as you are, move at your own pace, and take whatever is useful for where you are right now.

Our mission

To create resources that actually help people feel like themselves again — seen, supported, and a little more ready for whatever comes next.

What we stand for

Our values

Wholeness

Every part of a person matters. Living well isn't about fixing one area of your life and calling it done. It's about paying attention to all of you — the parts that are struggling and the parts that are quietly okay.

Authenticity

Real stories, real struggles, real growth. No performance, no polished highlight reel. Just honest, grounded support for wherever you actually are.

Gentleness

Change doesn't have to be hard to be real. We're interested in the kind of growth that's sustainable — built on self-compassion, not pressure or self-criticism.

Creativity

Creativity isn't a nice-to-have. Nicole has seen, again and again, how making something — anything — can unlock what words alone can't reach. It runs through everything Carty Care does.

Community

We're not meant to do this alone. Carty Care is built around the idea that feeling seen by another person — really seen — is part of what it means to be well.

Purpose

Everything here is made with intention. The journals, the courses, the philosophy itself — each one is trying to do something specific: help you take the next step, whatever that looks like for you.

Our history & mission

A legacy of love & belonging

Carty Care began as a nanny and support work agency, founded by Nicole Carty with a deep commitment to nurturing children and supporting families.

As the years went on, Nicole saw something clearly: the families she worked with needed more than practical support. They needed space to process, to create, to feel less alone. So Carty Care grew to include creative arts classes, therapeutic workshops, retreats and one-on-one sessions — because the wellbeing of one person ripples out into the whole family.

Today, guided by Nicole's training as a Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Facilitator, we offer tailored support that fosters connection, resilience, and well-being for individuals and families alike.

At the heart of Carty Care is our mission:

~ Holistic Wellbeing Through Creative Expression ~

We carry our roots in nanny and support services with pride. And we've grown. Through personalised support and the healing power of creative arts, we want people to feel more capable, more connected, more themselves. That's the vision: not a fixed destination, but a community of people growing toward a life that feels worth living.

The name: the story

Where the name comes from

The name Carty comes from the Irish Ó Cárthaigh — derived from "carthach", meaning "loving" or "kind." Nicole grew up carrying that name, and everything she's built has tried to live up to it.

The symbol takes the four-leaf clover and adds a fifth heart — one for each of the five values at the core of this work: Love, Joy, Calm, Grow, and Heal. It's a small thing, but it holds a lot.

"You are seen, you are valued, you belong."

Irish roots, Australian heart. A name that has always meant kindness.

Founder & Holistic Healing Guide

Nicole Carty — Founder of Carty Care

Nicole Carty is a qualified HICAT Facilitator and experienced childcare professional, holding a Diploma in Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy and over a decade of hands-on experience supporting individuals through life's challenges. She's built her practice on something she's seen hold true over and over: that healing often happens in the process of making something, not in the finished product. And that when one person starts to grow, it changes the people around them too.

Her sessions bring together art, mindfulness, movement, storytelling and meditation in spaces that feel genuinely safe. She works in a trauma-informed way, with a lightness and flexibility that meets people where they are. Her background spans professional nanny roles, community service, parent support and children's emotional development — and across all of it, she's watched creativity do things that nothing else quite can.

A natural healer with an intuitive spirit, Nicole's own experiences with loss and resilience have shaped her holistic philosophy — and remind her, always, that the people she works with are doing something brave.

Specialising in:

  • Process-focused Creative Arts Therapy (where the journey matters more than the outcome)
  • Somatic and emotional regulation techniques
  • Mindfulness for self-awareness and growth
  • Gentle, individualised support

Whether she's working with children, parents or individuals navigating something hard, Nicole's hope is simple: that people leave feeling a little more like themselves. A little more heard. A little more capable of what comes next.

"Creativity isn't just about making art — it's about exploring and understanding oneself."
